STEPHANIE'S DECISION
After spending years working for other salons that didn’t align with her values, Stephanie was ready to make a big move. She wanted more control over her creative expression, client relationships, and, of course, the type of luxury experience she could offer her customers. It was time for her to strike out on her own and build a brand that reflected her unique approach. Stephanie envisioned Mane & Elegance as a premier destination for elegant and healthy hair, and she had plans to grow it into a household name.
Stephanie also wanted to ensure her brand conveyed the level of personalized care she offers and the environment she works hard to create. She had a clear vision for her studio, but the challenge was in making sure her brand visuals communicated this vision effectively. That’s when she reached out to me for help. She needed a logo that would capture her brand’s essence—something that felt luxurious, approachable, and, most importantly, unique to her and her clients.

The Process
To start, I had Stephanie fill out my client intake form. This helped me get a deeper understanding of her values, goals, and what she wanted to convey with her brand. After reviewing her responses, we had a meeting to dig even deeper. We explored her vision for the studio, the emotional connection she wanted to create with her clients, and how we could bring those ideas to life visually. It was important to me that we were aligned, and this process allowed us to fine-tune the direction of the design.
From there, we worked collaboratively throughout the entire design process. We stayed in constant communication to ensure that every decision, from color choices to iconography, was exactly what Stephanie envisioned. My goal was to create a brand identity that truly felt like it belonged to her, something that reflected both her artistry and the premium experience she was determined to offer her clients.
The logo
The final result? A logo that perfectly encapsulates Stephanie’s vision for Mane & Elegance. The primary logo is elegant and sophisticated, with a monogram that subtly alludes to an artist’s signature. This speaks to Stephanie’s craft and artistic talent, which are at the heart of her work. Additionally, the monogram spells out the letters “ME,” reinforcing the message that the experience at Mane & Elegance is “all about me”—something clients truly deserve.

In addition to the main logo, I also created a secondary logo and supporting iconography to give Stephanie’s brand flexibility. We selected a soft, “spa-like” color palette that evokes feelings of tranquility and luxury, perfectly complementing the serene atmosphere of her studio. I also suggested a few font choices that aligned with her brand’s elegant, feminine identity. Everything was packaged into a brand guide, making it easy for Stephanie to apply the logo and brand elements consistently across all platforms.




The impact
The impact of this project was profound for Stephanie and her business. The new logo and brand elements not only gave her a professional and cohesive visual identity but also helped her clarify and strengthen her brand messaging. The logo truly captured the luxurious, welcoming environment she had worked so hard to create for her clients. It also gave her the confidence to move forward with her vision of growing Mane & Elegance into a well-known name in her community.
Stephanie was thrilled with the final result and expressed how the logo perfectly conveyed the essence of what she wanted to offer—relaxed luxury with a personal touch. She was especially excited about how the design aligned with her future goals, including expanding her services and offering a more inclusive experience with initiatives like silent appointments for clients with autism. The project was a huge success, not just in terms of design, but in helping Stephanie build a brand that authentically represents her values and sets her up for long-term success.
